Treatment Options

What are my treatment options?

Asclera: Varicose veins occur when the tiny valves inside blood vessels malfunction and allow blood to back up and pool, causing bulging, swollen, purplish veins on the legs and other areas.

Endovenous laser vein treatment ( EVLT): In this outpatient procedure, Dr. Reddy performs a minimally invasive procedure to treat varicose veins with a laser catheter by ablating the affected superficial veins. After these veins are closed, blood will be redirected to healthy veins. Performed with local anesthesia and typically takes about 45 minutes.

VenaSeal closure system: The VenaSeal closure system is an effective and non-invasive treatment to close your superficial varicose veins from the inside using medical-grade glue. It is the first FDA approved varicose vein treatment that doesn’t use heat, cutting, or chemicals called sclerosants.

Sclerotherapy: In this outpatient procedure, Dr. Reddy injects small- and medium-sized varicose veins with a sealant solution. The process closes the damaged valve redirecting your blood to healthier veins.

Laser surgery: Dr. Reddy uses a laser in an outpatient office procedure to seal smaller varicose veins and spider veins.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy (“fluh-BEK-to-me”): Dr. Reddy removes smaller varicose veins through one or two tiny skin punctures. Local anesthesia is used in this outpatient procedure. Scarring is generally minimal.
